Natasha began studying dance as a student of Betty Parlier. She studied
intensively at Betty's School of Dance and also regularly traveled to study at other
institutions such as Broadway Dance Center, NC Govenor's School, and various
conventions. She then continued her study of dance at Meredith College and
UNC-Charlotte. Upon Betty's retirement in 2005, she passed along her 60-year
establishment to her trusted student Natasha, who had studied as an apprentice
with Betty for nearly nine years prior to this transition. Betty was confident that
her long-standing tradition of strong technical training and nurturing artistic
development would continue under Natasha's direction. (Read more about this

In 2005, Natasha recieved a B.A. Degree in Anthropology from UNC-Charlotte,
as she also began her endeaver as the new studio owner of Betty's School of
Dance. Since her acceptance of the studio, Betty's School of Dance has grown into
its beautiful 9400 square foot studio in downtown Statesville. Natasha currently
instructs classes in ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, musical theater, and belly dance to
students ranging from 3 years to adults. She has directed and choreographed
numerous recitals and productions including Cinderella and Coppelia. She has
also worked as a performer and choreographer for for both dance productions
and social events. She continues her dance training through annual courses and
certifications. Natasha is a graduate of the Dance Masters of America Teacher
Training School at the Univeristy of New York at Buffalo and is the
Janet-Bachna Scholar for her graduating class. She also continues to travel and
stay up to date with choreography and dance trends by taking classes with those
at the center of the dance and education scene. Natasha is a current member of
Dance Masters of America, Carolina Dance Masters, National Dance Education
Organization and the North Carolina Dance Alliance.
Sara is a full-time instructor and currently teaches classes in ballet, tap, jazz,
lyrical, and modern to students ages 3 through adult. She holds a BA degree in
dance from Elon college, and is currently performing with the Kearns Dance
Project. Sarah also performed and choreographed as a member of the Elon
Dancers in many productions throughout college and is a member of the North
Carolina Dance Alliance. Sara is a certified Pilates instructor and is also
certified annual by Dance Masters of America at the Univeristy of New York at
Buffalo.
Noel is our Pointe instructor and works with our advanced and intermediate level students in both preparing and
developing them as Pointe dancers. Her training and performance background includes classical ballet, pointe,
classical jazz, modern, and musical theatre. Noel's professional work experience includes Joffrey II of New York,
adjunct professor at King College, Artistic Director for State of Franklin Dance Alliance, contract choreographer
for Theatre Bristol, as well as numerous guest teaching, performing, and choreography opportunities. She has had
the opportunity to study with renowned professionals such as Robert Joffrey, Richard Englund, Jeremy Blanton, Gus
Giordano, Gelsey Kirkland, David Howard, and Suzanne Farrell just to name a few. Noel holds a BS degree in
PHSed/ Sportsmedicine from Radford University.

Sharon is the heart of our front deks operations at the studio. She holds our current office hours Monday-Thursday
2:30-6:00pm and is there to assist with registration, billing, and questions concerning many aspects of the studio.
Sharon also owns her own cleaning service, By Faith Cleaning.
